We are a family business that believes less is more. New Leaf Kombucha is small-batched brewed with only four ingredients: filtered water, organic tea leaves, organic cane sugar, and our organic kombucha culture. We never add any flavourings, colourings or preservatives to our kombucha.
Our kombucha is on tap and we have cold bottles ready to go at our taproom at 37 Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland.
The taproom is a place where you can relax and enjoy tasting our deliciously refreshing kombucha. We have a unique climate-controlled fermentation room with an observation window where you can see the fermentation process in action.
There are five New Leaf Kombucha flavours on tap – all crafted from different organic teas or flowers. Four of our taps remain the same: Hopbucha, Kenyan Purple Tea Kombucha, Hibiscus Flower Kombucha, and Gunpowder Green Tea Kombucha. The fifth tap is our guest brew and it changes every week. It could be something as different as our hugely popular Butterfly Pea Flower Kombucha, or a tangy Rooibos Kombucha. We usually recommend a tasting paddle, or flight, on your first visit. This lets you try all five different types of kombucha on tap that day and make up your own mind which is your favourite.
We also have a parrot! “Diego” is a Congo African Grey and can be found in the taproom during the day. We are probably the only taproom in the southern hemisphere with a talking parrot!
We sell our large (750 ml) bottles for $14 new. Yes, we want to recycle, and this is how we do it: buy a large bottle of fresh kombucha, take it home and enjoy. Bring the bottle back cleaned and we will refill it with the kombucha of your choice for $13. This has proven so popular that most of our customers bring in refills now!
